Get started on fileAI in 5 Steps!
This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough on how to navigate the platform, upload a file, and successfully export your first file. It's all made easy with a series of short video guides.

Step 1: Setting up your Workspace and Organization
- Clicking on the circle at the top left of the page would prompt you to add a workspace.
- A workspace would ideally be the name of the Company (eg. fileAI )
- Click "Continue"
- Organization name refers to different entities or clients managed by your company. (eg, If you’re a restaurant, organizations could refer to the different outlets you operate if each outlet is connected to a separate export destination. )
- Document's default currency code refers to the default currency you would like your files to be processed with. Do note that this is just a default and can be changed accordingly after uploading files.

Step 2: Setting up your Import and/or Export Integrations
- Select Workflows and click on Connected apps
- Click on Import or Export to find the full list of integrations to connect with, which you will be redirected to the respective login page to enter your user credentials
- You're successfully connected once your details of your organization name and organization ID appears for the connected app

Step 3 : Uploading a File
- Select Inbox and click on the Submit button
- Select a Tag for the file(s) that you are uploading for
- Tags could be the types of files uploaded. (eg, Invoices, Bank Statements, Credit Notes)
- Pull or drag files or click to browse files into the upload window from your device and click Submit to upload files
- Your file will appear under Processing tab once they are successfully uploaded
Step 4: Creating an Export Rule for your First File
Depending on your choice of integration, the export rule set up page can differ from one system to another.
General export rule creation is as follows:
- Select Destination to create a workflow rule for your processed file
- This workflow rule serve as a default workflow behaviour to be applied for all files
- Click "Create Rules" to create individual supplier rule for a file
- Fill up the remaining details of the export rule as the Workflow Export Settings would have already been auto-generated
- Once all details are filled in, click "Create Rule"
Step 5: Exporting Your First File
- Click on Export for the file that you are exporting
- Select Auto-export if you wish to have this doc auto-exported the next time it is uploaded to the system
- Once the file is successfully exported, they will be moved from Ready for Export to Archive
